
James Wurzler

ABOUT
James Wurzler was born and raised in Vermont where he attended Christ the King Parish School and Rice Memorial Catholic High School. He began his studies in philosophy at the University of Vermont but chose to transfer to Franciscan University of Steubenville so that he could better understand the faith that he desired to articulate and share . After receiving his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Philosophy and Theology, he continued his studies at Franciscan University and received his Master of Arts Degree in Theology and Christian Ministry.
At Vincentian Academy, Mr. Wurzler teaches Senior and Sophomore religion and regularly meets with a local chapter of the youth movement, Gioventù Studentesca (GS). Once a month, in place of a formal class, all of the senior students visit Vincentian Home, a nursing home also owned by the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth. He has also taught a non-credit elective at the school, Introduction to Philosophy: Rene Descartes. He continues to receive theological and spiritual formation on a weekly basis through participation in the Catholic movement, Comunione e Liberazione (CL).
In addition to his responsibilities at Vincentian Academy, Mr. Wurzler also serves as the Youth Minister for the parishes of Steubenville, Ohio. He is the father of four wonderful children (Cecelia, Killian, Genevieve and Julliette) and the husband to an incredible wife, Emily. Mr. Wurzler resides in Steubenville, Ohio.
